My summer holidays

Hello, my name is Clàudia and today I’m going to talk about my last summer holidays.
first I’m going to explain what I did at the end of June, then about the days that I stayed in Roses and Banyoles, after that the fifteen days that I went to Paris and finally the week that I stayed in Belgium and Holland at the beginning of September.

The last week of June, two days after the end of school, I went with Gemma to an English Camp called l’Arcada. This camp is near this school, it’s in Sant Miquel de Campmajor. All the instructors of this Camp were from the USA and also there were some boys and girls from there.
Everyday we woke up very early, then we had breakfast and after that in groups we did different activities depending on the day. The activities were: archery, climbing, gimcama and others. When we finished the activities we had lunch and in the afternoon we practiced sport or we did workshops and some day, if it was hot we went to the swimming pool. After that we had dinner and we did some night games.
In this camp I had so much fun and I met a lot of people.

When I came back from l’Arcada I went to Roses. There I did a course on nautical sports with my friends during two weeks. We did windsurf, kayak …
Also, some days Gemma came to Roses and we went to the beach, we went for a walk and we went shopping.

After these days in Roses I went to Banyoles. There I met my friends, I made my summer work, we went for a walk…
Also I stayed in St. Antoni with Gemma and there we did the same as we did in Roses:we went to the beach, and most of the time, we went for a walk and other things.

On the 14^th of August my sister and I went with our French teacher to Paris to learn French. Every day we visited a lot of things like: the Eiffel Tower, the Moulin Rouge, the Champs-Elysées, the Louvre museum, the cathedral of Notre-Dame, the sacré-coeur, the love wall, … one day we also went to Disneyland resort Paris. The places that I liked the most were: the cathedral of Notre-Dame, the Moulin Rouge, the love wall (it’s a wall where there were the phrase: I love you, in all the languages) and the Eiffel tower because we visited it in the day and also in the night, when there were all the lights shining.
Those days I learned a lot of French because my teacher made me ask a lot of things to the people, the visits to the museums and places were in French, she spoke to us in French and we had to answer her also in French!

The first week of September I went to Holland and Belgium with my sister and my father.
We went to Holland like last year because we wanted to visit our Dutch family. The first two days we stayed in Holland and we visited some cities that we didn’t see last year like: Zeeland,Cuijk,Nijmegen andGroesbeek. Then we stayed the rest of the days in Belgium and there we visited Antwerp, Brugge and Brussel.
After those days there we came back to Banyoles and we prepared all the things to start the school.

Classmates:

Gemma: 

At the end of June she went to l'Arcada, an english camp. The most of the instructors were from the USA.

When she came back from l'Arcada she stayed a few days in Banyoles and then she went to Roses with me. We went to the beach, went for a walk...

After that we went to St. Antoni de Calonge, like last year and there we did the same as we did in Roses. 

The second week of August she went to Valencia and then she spent one weekend in Andora with her family also.

Carla:

She went to Mayfield, London. There she did classes for practised her English. There she met people from all around the world.

After that, she went to Croàcia one week with her family. There she visited all the beaches and in the afternoon they visited the capital.

Finally, she stayed a few days in St. Antoni de Calonge and Palamós. In the mornings she went to the beaches and in the afternoons she met her friends.

Júlia:

In July, she went to Girona with her friend Maria, for did english classes. There she spent two hours and a half. In the afternoons she went to La Draga or to the Club.

In August she stayed in St.Antoni with Carla and everyday they took a boatand they went to diferent beaches from there. 

After that, she did a Cruise with her family around the Greece Islands. The cruise was from one week. 

In september, she hang up with friends around Banyoles.

The last day of the summer, she went to BCN for the protest, of 11 

September.

Francesc:

He went to Jordania with his family and there he did a lot of trips.

Cristina C.:

At the end of June she went to Seatle with Ivet. There she stayed 4 days visiting the city and sleeping in Jennifer's house with other people from BCN.

Then he visited Camp Orkila, in the Orcas Islands. There she stayed one month. She did a kayak expedition during 2 weeks. The rest of the days she did a lot of activities.

When she came back from the USA she went to Torre Valentina and she went to the beach, she met with her friends...

The lass two weeks of August she went to China with her Family. There she visited a lot of important places like the Great wall, the forbiden city,Dubai, and other important cities.

Ivet:

She also went to the USA and to the Camp Orkila. She and Cris did the same because they stayed in the same group. 

After the month in the USA she did a cruise around the Baltic Capitals with her family and friends.
When she returned to Banyoles she spent one day in PortAventura.

After that she went to Pda and there she went to the beach, she went shopping, ...

Jordi:

At the begginig os the summer he stayed in Banyoles ans he met with his friends. After that he went to Andorra and then he went to the Pallars Sobirà to visit his grandparents. 

Albert Q.:
At the begginig of the summer he stayed in Palamós with his family and at the afternoons he met his friends. After those days in Palamós he went Three days to Port Aventura with Bryan and Bryan's family.At the end of the summer  he stayed in BNY and he went he went to the lake,to the cinema and some summer parties.

Pau S.:
He went three weeks to York, England. There he stayed with a family. After that he went three days to Portaventura with some friends from Serinyà and the rest of the summer he did the same as Albert did.

Veciana:
He went to l'arcada for one week. Then he went to Boí and there he visited roman churches, lakes... after that he went to the Bretagne and finally he stayed in Banyoles and he did the summer work.

Arnau:
He went to Palma de Mallorca. There he stayed the most of the time in the hotel. After that he went to PDA with his cousins. Finally, he stayed in Lloret de Mar with his tennis team. He did a lot of aquatic activities.


My observation:
In this oral presentation I used a power point with some photos of my last summer holidays. I think that it was attractive because people could see What I've been doing this summer. Also, I showed and talked about them to the audience. My body and my eye contact was looking to the audience the most of the time. Also, sometimes when I didn't know what I had to say exactly, I read from my notes. I didn't do too much gestures or movements to hold the attention of my audience because in my hands I was keeping my notes. I organized my ideas in a chronological order. To made my oral presentation more clear I used discourse makers like: first, then,after that, finally... I didn't introduced any interesting information because it was my own oral presentation about my summer holidays. Maybe for some people some information was interesting. My information was superficial and i didn't explained it with detail. I checked my grammar because first I wrote it in a paper and my teacher corrected it, so it was OK. In some parts of the oral I had to use new vocabulary, like new words, and I searched it in the dictionary. I Used sentence linkers like and,but,also...and also fillers like for example,well...
